Mini Burgers

Mini burgers

Homemade mini burgers are a great option for both dinner and a snack. They’re always a hit at parties and are the first to disappear. You can prepare them a little differently each time by experimenting with toppings. You’ll delight both younger and older guests.

They might not be typical finger food, as you won’t eat them in one bite, but your friends will definitely be more likely to reach for this smaller version of the burger, convenient to eat in a few bites, than the XXL version at a party. This way, they’ll be able to try more snacks. Everyone will have a chance to eat something more substantial than chips, but you won’t have to buy kilograms of meat. Everyone will eat something warm, but they’ll still have room for a salad or cake, which someone probably brought with them. And when they cool, you won’t have to constantly reheat them, as they can be eaten both hot and cold.

Mini Burgers Recipe

Ingredients

  • 16 mini burger buns
  • 600 g ground beef
  • 5 pickled cucumbers
  • 4 small tomatoes
  • 1 red onion
  • 16 leaves lettuce
  • 100 g raw smoked bacon
  • 90 g mimolette cheese (or cheddar)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • black pepper
  • salt
  • oil

Instructions

  • Add plenty of black pepper, mustard and 2 tablespoons of oil to the meat. Knead the meat with your hands for a few minutes until it forms a smooth, glossy mass. Divide the meat into 16 equal portions and shape into balls. Set aside for a few minutes.
600 g ground beef, black pepper, 2 tbsp mustard
  • Meanwhile, cut the rolls in half. Slice the cheese, onion, tomatoes and cucumbers. Cut the bacon slices in half to obtain smaller pieces.

  • First, fry the bacon in a dry, hot pan until golden and crispy. Set the cooked bacon aside on a plate lined with kitchen paper to remove excess fat. Then fry the rolls in the same pan.
  • Finally, add a little oil to the pan and fry the burgers, flattening them well. A wide spatula, pot or burger smasher will be useful for this. After flipping the burgers, season them with salt and top with slices of cheese. Once the cheese has melted, transfer the burgers on a plate.

  • Spread mayonnaise/ketchup/BBQ sauce on the buns. Arrange the lettuce, burger, bacon, onion, tomato, and cucumber on the bun, then top with the bun, also smeared with sauce. Prepare all 16 burgers this way. Enjoy!
2 tbsp ketchup, 2 tbsp BBQ sauce, 2 tbsp mayonnaise
